Brent and Chloe Halonen

This basement electric sauna was built in the winter of 2021 as part of an entire basement remodel done by Turner Contracting. The project entailed repouring the basement floor, furnace room enhancement, and of course the sauna. Lumber prices were sky high during covid, so the Turners sourced the raw lumber from an obscure lumberjack in Liminga, and then milled the wood paneling themselves with a table saw.

Brent saw favorable interest rates and rising inflation as good reasons to refinance his house to fund the project, which turned out to be the correct macroeconomic judgement.

The 6 man steam room is accompanied by a separate shower area with a waterfall shower head, a changing area, and a bathroom. Of special note is the excellent trim work pictured below.

This sauna is fired every evening and their children enjoy the daily ritual.
